Back to the LA Salsa Congress for a second time over Memorial Weekend for my first pro-team Congress performance. Much calmer than last year, and the crowd loved the piece!
Our safety pin assembly line pre-show. Bad things happen when those neck pieces come undone!
About to head down to perform...funny, I think we're waiting on the guys to finish getting ready for a change...
Probably because Brian couldn't figure out his bow tie!
Killing a little more time with Mikey while my partner figures out his tie...
Mikey and Brian post-show...
We were so exhausted from flying and performing in the same day...make up does wonders for those lovely fatigue-induced bags under the eyes!
Is that a smile, Joe??? You mean, you're happy with our performance??! :)
On the dance floor post-show with Brian...we were too exhausted to dance more than one song to the band!
Stephanie and I had to escape the madness on the dance floor for a few minutes...
After watching Salsa legend Gilberto Santo Rosa play live, we came back upstairs for some much needed celebrating...
I got drug all over LA, sight-seeing the next day...a journey during which I made a bezillion wrong turns, as though I had no knowledge whatsoever of any freeways in CA. Joe drained the battery on his phone after using the GPS to bail me out of all my missed exits and turns...
Bianca has now taken at least 50 pictures of me in front of the Hollywood sign by this point...my lack of patience has started to kick in with this impromptu photo session...take the picture already!
Thanks to overuse of the GPS, we had to pull over at a deli for Joe to charge his phone at a random plug outside a convenience store...
My partner's signature move, guaranteed to make me laugh when rehearsing...
Getting uber-bored while we wait for the phone to charge...
Off to see the Tar-pits...
Factoid of the day for Lindsay: Those are mammoths, NOT elephants.
Venice Beach at the Sidewalk Cafe...

Hanging out on Venice Beach, where the people on the boardwalk are even crazier than some of the fools I used to see on Telegraph Avenue in Berkeley!
Night #2 at the Congress...getting ready to hit the dance floor for some Salsa and Bachata...
Photo time with the Director of the LA Congress, Albert Torres...always a gracious host, with an affinity for the NYC teams...
